After having kids many moms put themselves last on the list. Moms are so used to taking care of everyone elses needs they forget to take care of their own. They feel they are “just a mom”. Moms are much more than “just moms”, we are WOMEN! We are wives, friends, business women, etc.. Getting back to yourSELF begins with making yourself a priority. Take a little time to get ready in the morning, treat yourself to pedicures and massages, meet with girlfriends for lunch, walk on the beach, read a good book. By taking a little “me time” you’ll be happy and when momma’s happy, everyone is happy!

When I first meet with clients, many of them tell me they’ve “cut out all carbs” and have been “really good about eating” but can’t seem to stick with it. That’s the problem with cutting out carbs, your body needs some carbohydrates to function at it’s best so when we don’t get what our bodies need we start craving fast food which is typically loaded with fat and calories. My solution is to continue to eat carbs, just chose your carbs wisely. Meaning instead of white breads and pastas chose whole grain breads, pastas and cereals. Also change your portions sizes-pack your plate with veggies and a have a smaller portion of pasta. Simple changes result in big results without depriving!
